2 Island Mixer · version history
v1.1 · October 2026
- Failsafe soundscape: if an island's live feed drops out or falls silent, a recording from that island fades in and holds the space until the live sound returns.
- The player reconnects by itself after interruptions.
- Status messages show when a live feed is paused.
v1.0.1 · 30 September 2026
- Fixed: island status messages now appear correctly.
- Tidied the page title.
v1.0 · 25 September 2026
- Public launch: live mixing between Jura and the Faroes in the browser.
Pre-history
A single organ at Lowlandman's Bay, Jura, and an OBS feed from Jura to YouTube. This worked off volatile links to live streams shared via social media. A new paradigm was required – all changed with the advent of the Faroes site and the creation of the 2 Island project.
